The
Citizenship Foundation is a registered charity (no.801360) encouraging
individuals to engage in society through education about the law,
human rights and democracy. Founded in 1989, we focus particularly
on empowering young people with the knowledge, skills and understanding
to make informed choices and to play a positive part in public life.
Our work includes:
Citizenship
resources for a wide audience from teachers to young offenders;
nationwide training; national active learning projects for secondary
schools and community-based projects to develop citizenship education
as a collective responsibility.
